CHAR DHAM YATRA
Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi or the Land of Gods, is home to the sacred Char Dham Yatra, one of Hinduism’s most revered pilgrimages. The journey covers four Himalayan shrines - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath - each dedicated to a major deity and sacred river.
Undertaken in a clockwise order, the yatra traditionally begins at Yamunotri and ends at Badrinath. These high-altitude temples remain open from April-May to October-November due to extreme winters. Whether by road, foot, or helicopter, the Char Dham Yatra is a spiritually transformative journey, combining devotion, endurance, and the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas.
